Beginner Beadmaking Course

This is an introductory course, where students will have the chance to learn the basics of lampwork bead making. Classes will take place in a private home studio with one-to-one instruction. Course topics include:
- an introduction to the tools, equipment and safety
- basic bead in various shapes
- different decorating techniques (frit, stringer)
- two colour stringer pulling
Different techniques can be demonstrated upon request if time permits.
Class is four hours long, plus half hour break.
Glass beads made in class are kiln annealed overnight and will be ready to pick up next day or shipped upon request. All tools and materials are provided.
Class cost is $145
Note: Please wear old clothes in natural fibers and long sleeves. Long hair should be tied back and no sandals or shorts should be worn.
Advanced techniques, like marble making and murrini cane making, can be taught upon request.
